Meet Kate Rambo
Kate has nearly two decades of experience creating communications strategies for clients across various industries that generate targeted media results in top-tier, national, and local business and trade press. A seasoned storyteller, Kate works closely with her clients to design, tailor, and execute communications strategies that align with business goals and priorities.
Before launching KRPR, Kate was Head of Communications at IEX Group, Inc. where she worked across the organization’s businesses. From navigating the FTX crisis to planning and executing a comprehensive communications strategy in response to the SEC’s proposed market structure reform, Kate was instrumental in reestablishing IEX’s connection with relevant media.
Prior to IEX, Kate was EVP, Communications and Head of PR, at FiComm Partners, where she led the vision and direction of the public relations service offering. In this role, she supported clients in the independent wealth management space—including advisors, fintech and wealthtech companies, custodians, asset managers, and more—by providing strategic counsel, crisis communications, media training, thought leadership communications, media relations activities, and more.
Previously, Kate was Director of Public Relations at Monster, where she was responsible for developing communications strategies that advanced Monster’s mission to better enable human connections in the job search and talent search processes.
Prior roles also include serving as a consultant for the Boston Athletic Association and its Boston Marathon and as Director at Weber Shandwick. In the latter role, Kate was responsible for top-tier media relations, created thought leadership platforms for corporations and their executives, and oversaw the Boston Lead Media team, which comprised more than 20 media relations specialists. Client work included TIAA, ADP, Bank of America, Verizon, McCormick, Royal Caribbean Cruises, Samsung Electronics America, University of California, Santa Barbara, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, MIT, and more.
Originally from Boston, Kate received a B.A. in Communications, with a concentration in Public Relations, from Seton Hall University. Kate currently resides in South Orange, NJ, with her daughter, Sophie, and Cavapoo, Bettis.
Kate is passionate about helping her clients build their confidence by empowering them to tell their stories. When Kate’s not hard at work, you can find her playing with Sophie and Bettis, rooting for her beloved Steelers, Red Sox, BC Eagles, and Seton Hall Pirates, or reading a book.
